The mission of Waggle Laboratories is to produce a suite of interactive social experiences using our rapid prototyping and deployment process, which includes actively soliciting user feedback through iterative cycles.

Our Philosophy:

Today Web 2.0 technologies serve as a platform enabling lightweight programming, brief iterative release cycles, and cross device integration, allowing us to rapidly develop and deploy rich user experiences. There are many unexploited avenues for innovation as we harness the web as a tool for awareness, communication, and coordination, structuring and organizing social experiences with the heretofore unprecedented prevalence of both user generated content and social metadata.

The core structure of these interactive web properties is to encourage users to generate their own content on a variety of devices and share it online in the context of a social environment, developing communities that are sticky and viral in growth through communication, social networking, and syndication tools. Our core belief is that people are excited to a) share information about themselves, b) find like minded people, and c) have novel, exciting interactions with each other.

Our Current Projects:

Pathable

Pathable is an extremely lightweight, event based social networking tool where people are matched based on social tagging data. Pathable provides the hosts of events with special tools to enable them to foster social interactions at their events.

RealityAllstarz

RealityAllstarz is a lightweight social networking game where people live their lives, and earn points. Through RealityAllStarz people challenge each other to complete fun tasks, such as “make art out of food” or “go sky diving”. People upload visual proof, and rate each others’ efforts.

Swaggle

Swaggle is a simple, free, group text messaging (SMS) service for cellphones. Send one text message to Swaggle, and we’ll send it to everyone in your group. When someone responds, that goes to everyone in the group, as well.
